Amazing for long range - My neightbour has been sharing his WiFi with me for the last 2 years and his router is 20 meters away from my laptop with 4 walls in-between. My laptop is a centrino with a high standard centrino WiFi network adapter. But it was simply too much. I struggled to understand why it kept disconnecting from the network and getting a very irregular data flow. I found out this high standard network adapter might have some problems (not listed on Intel Website but in loads of forums). But I realised all that was just bullsh*** after I took the risk to buy the Belkin Pre-N. The only problem WiFi B and G networks have is the signal stability in long-range environments. If that matters for you, believe me this pre-N is plainly a miracle. Perfectly stable 34 mBits/s in my case even made me wonder if the router had not changed place (and of course it did not).
Brilliant - Not knowing much about the technology of wi fi I needed to find a card for my Toshiba laptop principally for home use having just come on to broadband. I read a number of reviews about alternative USB products and decided that having more extensive coverage would be a useful consideration. This MIMO adaptor has been brilliant - plug it in, run the software, and away it goes. So easy and excellent reception as it works anywhere in the house and garden. Only small downside is that the card projects 35mm out from the laptop but still fits my carrier without having to remove it.
